THE PEPPER POT

30.10.21

I had no idea where to venture to this morning so I though I’d give this one another go. It wasn’t till 08:20 that the sun actually made an appearance. After finely tuning the camera in such a small space I got what I wanted (ish!).

FALLEN TREE

29.10.21

I went on the hunt for some Fly agaric mushrooms around the grounds of St Pierre Park but had no luck. On the way back I spotted this fallen tree which was still deeply rooted into the earth bank. Still growing, still changing with the seasons, just lying on it’s side!

Felt like splashing paint on a canvas editing this one. Base of a cinematic preset within LR then moulded to my mood!

GOLDEN LIGHT

28.10.21

I try to save this location for special, colourful sunrises and this one was no exception. I had a little issue wit the waves crashing over behind me which was a bit sketchy but I used myself as a shield and stuck with it and I was quite pleased with the results.

DUNNOCK

27.10.21

There are 6 ducklings in the pond at Saumarez Manor which I was hoping to photograph but they disappeared as soon as the screaming kids started feeding and shouting at the adult ducks.

I had to search ‘fat brown uk bird’ to find out the name of this bird.

FUNGI

26.08.21

That the of year when your mind starts to wonder whether you should or shouldn’t touch the shrooms. Also reminds me of how Alice in Wonderland had a massive trip from eating Agaric mushrooms, and we were exposed to that as kids when nobody gave shit.

FOG HORN

24.10.21

Fog & Signal Station at St Martins Point.

I came here yesterday but the sun was only visible through a tiny break on the horizon so I decided to return this morning with a bit more light in my favour. I had to shield the camera from the wind and wipe the filters after each shot which was a pain in the arse because all my cleaning cloths are now coated in salty water.

GOD RAYS

23.10.21

The tides were good but I just couldn’t find a composition I liked on the sand. The cave is always a good place to fall back on but there was very little breaks in the cloud. There’s some annoying over exposed areas on the sea but I like the rays of sunlight breaking in on the coastline.
