Always a pleasure to wander around the Pleinmont headland towards the end of the day. This was a small trek down the cliffs to a spot I found a few years back. Works better in the winter when the sun is further south so I will be back for another shot in Q4!

Small beach but massive character. Such a stunning location but it’s closed off at the moment (again) due to a landslide!

I always venture up to this spot round this time of year but try to time it as close to low tide as possible to really emphasise the crystal clear waters and the extent of the sandy beach at Petit Bot.

High above Saints Harbour, next to no wind and a familiar warm wind which made it almost feel like summer, but not quite there yet.

As far as bench spots go, this one ranks up there with one of the finest Guernsey has to offer.
The sun broke through on the horizon eventually but it only lasted a few minutes.

Almost a whole year I’ve waited to get down here for some stunning autumn light and this afternoon didn’t disappoint. A beautiful beach, and fascinating to observe the coastal erosion at the base of the cliffs.

Back to Petit Port, hoping for that once in a lifetime photo opportunity which didn’t happen. There were some stunning light rays a few mile out. Salvaged a few shot I liked.

No.3 on my list of favourite south coast beaches. When you finally make it to the viewpoint, it’s kind of a standard Guernsey thing to just stop and have a good look at the beauty of it then head down and find a spot.

Not quite a secret as such but this beach is tucked away hidden from view next to Petit Bot and is only accessible by sea or an extremely dodgy rock scramble from the zig zag grassy path opposite. Even then, the latter is only possible at low tide.
