Bay

TELEGRAPH BAY

27.12.22

An awkward bay to access and photograph, especially at high tide. There’s a 20 metre sheer drop over this edge which is sketchy enough under the feet!

Shooting into the shadows and direct sun isn’t ideal but I managed to keep the details in both ranges.

MARBLE BAY

15.10.22

Bumped into a lady on the cliffs this morning who said she was waiting to be picked up by her son in law to watch the sun rise. Sure enough, they turned up to collect her but they missed the sunrise.

MARBLE BAY

2022.08.27

I always say it, because it’s true, but this has to be one of the best bays in Guernsey. No sand but very rarely more than a handful of people here at once and in the eight years I’ve been coming down here regularly, probably only seen about 10 people max!

DREAMY

21.08.22

There was a good 20 minutes of amazing colour transformation this morning. I was headed to the south coast but didn’t have enough time. One of my favourites from this year I think.

SAINTS HARBOUR

06.07.22

I’m not actively taking part in the 30 Bays but I’m going to do my best to visit most of them over the next few weeks. Feels like a small Mediterranean fishing port.

THE CAVE

22.05.22

Power run down the cliffs to get to Marble Bay in time for sunrise. Imagine Sonic’s legs at full speed, that’s what it felt like!

Decided to give the cave another go as the tide was out. A few more clouds would have been nice but you can’t with the all.

HAVELET

30.01.22

I never used to give Havelet a second though as it just didn’t feel like a place I wanted to be but actually, it’s a quite a plant area. Vast sand bay with amazing views out into the channel and also a great place to watch the sun rise!

WAY OUT WEST

13.01.22

I found this view point last year by accident on one of my many tours of the parishes. There’s a bench to the side of the road where you can sit and take in the views.
