Field

SEA FOG

02.08.22

Half the island’s coastline was swamped in fog for most of the day. I had some ideas but none of them turned out as I planned. This field caught my eye on the drive back from Jerbourg. Might try it again at sunrise in the hope of a nice thin layer of mist on the grass?

SHEEPS

05.01.22

It may be a little on the cold side but being out in the sunshine, strolling through the rural lanes felt amazing. It may not mean much to anyone but this picture felt like a turning point. It made me remember why I started this photo marathon which was to capture Guernsey through the seasons in any way possible. No rules, no competition, just enjoying being out with the camera!

RUE DES CLERCS

10.03.21

Driving around in the rain trying to find this exact field which I stumbled upon a few years ago. Had no recollection of where it was, all I knew is it was somewhere near Fort Grey and up one of the numerous little windy lanes creeping up the hill.

THE GUERNSEY

17.09.20

Most of us take these cows for granted but they’re actually quite rare on a global scale. I’ve tried milk throughout Europe and the USA and no country comes close to producing a finer milk than Guernsey. As soon as I’ve typed this I’m heading to the fridge to grab a nice ice cold glass of milk.

SUMMER IS

01.07.20

Hay Bales! Walked around by the clay pigeon range near Mont Herault, aimlessly experimenting with hay bales. Eventually settled for the contrast between the golden grasses and the emphasis on the blue sky.

FIELD OF GOLD

21.02.20

The mission, daffodils somewhere I haven’t been before. The location, somewhere in a narrow lane, high above the west coast, can’t even remember how I got here. Took a left, then a right, then another left and eventually found what I was hoping for.

PLEINMONT PONIES

31.07.19

Last day of July, found myself wandering around Pleinmont headland searching for inspiration. Had to jump a few hedges and brambles to get to these ponies and I also discovered the hard way they throw the poo in the hedge!
