Took a leisurely walk around the Jerbourg headland and stopped for 15 minutes to just chill and enjoy the summer sun. This is the view down to Petit Port from probably the highest point above it.

Not one to let a colorful cloud formation slip away and 15 minutes to spare, L’Ancresse had all the offerings I needed. This is the place I grew up and holds many happy memories.

Alderney, the only channel Island I have yet to visit. Unfortunately this plane was going nowhere but the Aero Club open day was good fun.

One of those little pleasures in life, always rewarding no matter what time of year you go.

The temperature hit 21°C at 05:00 this morning. It genuinely felt like being on a hot holiday somewhere far south. Needless to say it was a great hike down but going up in jeans and a hoodie was testing the mind.
30.07.20
The stunning rocky shores of Moulin Huet. Low tide reveals an amazing sandy beach, rivaled only by Petit Port around the corner.
29.07.20
Ventured a little further from home this morning to be rewarded with a stunning misty layer rising from the water. That and the fact it was just amazing weather. This one’s in loving memory of Sarah.
28.07.20
Almost felt like the clouds were sending out a massive fist pump this evening. Here’s to a few days of high pressure and warm continental winds.
27.07.20
There was potential on the horizon but the clouds moved in so Plan B was on the cards.
26.07.20
Sunday lie in’s don’t happen for me anymore. Simple reason being I’d rather be outdoors. I should have left the house 30 minutes earlier to catch the stunning pink clouds but the snooze button got the better of me.
25.07.20
Finley with his best mate Jake from school up at the annual Young Stock Show in St Saviour. It was a damp but these two had a great time together. One cake was all it took to send them into overdrive!
24.07.20
Almost 30 minutes of standing in a whiteout hoping for the smallest clearing down to the beach and then as if someone turned on a switch, the clearing I waited for.
23.07.20
The sunrise this morning was stunning but my attention was drawn to the heavier clouds behind. The sun was also casting lovely light on the kiosk.
22.07.20
Although I can’t help but see a silent scream, poor old Pedro here was exhausted from a day in the sunshine. Its a herd life being a Guernseyman and a donkey.
21.07.20
Exhaust details from Sarnia, a tug boat moored in St Sampson harbour. Nothing else seemed to be floating my boat today!

Since I started working down Vazon, I seem to spend a lot more time at Portelet. I’ve always loved the fishing village vibe on the west coast and there’s never any shortage to photograph.
On another note, I realised over the weekend I’ve now been doing this daily project for 2000 days!
19.07.20
Clearing the hangover with a stroll around the Torteval country lanes. Little miss sassy pants leading the way.
18.07.20
I’d expected it to be a bit overcast this morning so didn’t plan anything but getting out early on days like this just makes life much better.
17.07.20
Set out looking for frogs, came out with a Great Green Bush Cricket. One handed macro isn’t the easiest, even when the subject is this big but he stuck on my finger just long enough before gliding off into the reeds.
16.07.20
I walked past here a few weeks ago and knew I had to return. High above Talbot Valley, the wheat fields almost give a continental feel to the Guernsey countryside.
