Unveiled by the Queen herself, way way back in 2000, now one of my go to ‘safety shots’ when the sky looks like it’s going to get interesting.

Gorgeous, still evening at one the highest points on the common. I had to add me in for scale.

I’m not 100% sure what the purpose or history of the boulders are but it did occur to me that they are aligned to true north.

Spend way too much time relaxing today and the motivation was well gone by the time I went out. The rain was lingering overhead and all I wanted to do was just veg on the sofa.

When the sun sets through the rain! Fascinating skies, made even better when the colours just exploded.

Not one to let a colorful cloud formation slip away and 15 minutes to spare, L’Ancresse had all the offerings I needed. This is the place I grew up and holds many happy memories.

Mysterious oval stones leading up to Rousse Tower. Never found out what they are or were for, only that they made an interesting feature for an image. The only info I can find is some Bronze Age finds back in 1994. Maybe they’re dragons eggs, laid thousands of years ago! Godzilla?

Guernsey’s answer to Stonehenge. I remember them digging this stone up from L’Ancresse over 20 years ago and queeny popping over for the day to unveil it.

Another amazing creation by Love Pebbles Gsy. This family of cacti have been hidden around Guernsey but their location needs to be kept secret. Head over to their Facebook page for some clues on where to find them.

Another stunning Guernsey sunset this evening! The sky got better than this but there was a fine balance of ambient light just after the sun went down which helped lift the shadows slightly.

Saw this on social media yesterday and challenged myself to find it within an hour. Took 5 minutes! Fantastic way to sign off your work and I have to say the guys have done an incredible job repointing the sea wall.
