Red

THE RED ONE

20.09.22

Some days I’ll just drive the length of the island to unwind and listen to some flat out progressive trance on the the way. This is what I call a ‘grab shot’ but it feels very Guernsey!

I’m just passing the days till the big storms start rolling in so I can find that spark again.

SHEPHERDS WARNING

06.12.21

Believe it or not, there is some scientific understanding to the rhyme, “Red sky in the morning, shepherds warning”!

A quote from he Met Office - "Red sky in the morning, shepherds warning" means a red sky appears due to the high-pressure weather system having already moved east meaning the good weather has passed, most likely making way for a wet and windy low-pressure system.”

FORMATION

09.09.21

I’ve had the pleasure of seeing the red arrows pretty much ever year from as far back as I can remember. The incredible sound always makes my hairs stand on end!

ISLAND LIFE

20.07.20

Since I started working down Vazon, I seem to spend a lot more time at Portelet. I’ve always loved the fishing village vibe on the west coast and there’s never any shortage to photograph.

On another note, I realised over the weekend I’ve now been doing this daily project for 2000 days!

PINK EYE

13.12.18

Stunning light display over St Peter Port this morning. In a panic to get somewhere I defaulted to Arcade Steps, not because it’s an easy shot but because it just offered the perfect views to watch the magic happen. Although a little less intense, the sky was like this for well over an hour before sunrise!
