Not quite suited to the title ‘September Rain’ but it was trying to force out a full on rainbow. As usual, I arrived as it was fading away, although the contrasting light was epic. The autumnal golden hours are beginning to kick in nicely!

The gap on the horizon looked promising but the wind pushed the thicker moody clouds east. An almost could have been moment.

When you spend so much time doubting yourself and contemplating life, its easy to forget how a dramatic sunset can pick you back up. Good old L’Ancresse, a place that holds many happy memories!

Really struggling to find inspiration the last few days. Decided to walk down to Fermain too seek said inspiration, only to find it wasn’t own there. The technical term is ‘creative block’! I’m sure it will pass, it always does.

Last day of November, finishing off with a classic Guernsey scene and a stunning rainbow. I sat through three downpours to get this shot but my persistence paid off. Luckily I found a rock to shelter behind and the rain was driving in from the west so the lens stayed relatively rain free. There was also a lot of careful planning in my mind as to where to be, along with the help of some basic sun calculation apps and rain radars.

Having carefully planned to head somewhere else this morning, I woke up late and left myself very little time for travel. There’s a field by my house which is always covered with a layer of mist on clear, calm nights so it’s I know whenever there’s mist in the field, it’s very likely the common land will be misty too.
So calm and peaceful when it’s like this!

If I had to depict Guernsey in one image, this would probably be it. Even on a wet and windy day, there’s always a chance there'll be some light to play with, even when it only last for less than a minute!

An area I often overlook with the camera, manly because the old landfill site is a few hundred metres away but it’s still an area that I love to walk and on a day like today, it felt quit special. The Thrift helped with a more natural frame.

Hit snooze, you loose. That’s my motto to myself. I’ve figured, if I focus on the time I go to bed and go straight to sleep, I can control my mind to wake up before my alarm. It’s worked three days in a row. Maybe it’s the anticipation of snow, or maybe I subconsciously repeat my motto in my sleep!
In total I had 8 layers of clothes on this morning (including two pairs of trousers) but that icy wind was a killer. As soon as the colour in the sky faded I was out of there sharp.
