SCAVENGER

03.04.20

Ironically, hiding in a rat trap underneath a chicken feeder! Bear in mind this is a standard size pallet and the rat must have been at least the size of my foot! Whatever the chickens don’t eat goes in his belly.

FERN

01.04.20

It grows literally anywhere it likes, I’ve even seen fern push through tarmac. I do love the smell of fern, takes me back to playing on the common when I was younger.

GOBBLES

31.03.20

They may not have the friendliest faces but past that, turkey’s are quite impressive birds. Every time I see one I can’t help but think of Gobble from South Park. If you've never seen it, search for Gobbles and Timmy.

DooDLES

29.03.20

Between both kids we’ve built 5 Lego sets, watched endless films and coloured plenty of cactus drawings for the window display. Don’’t know why put over the last month I’ve become a massive fan of cacti.

PINE FOREST

27.03.20

Five full suns in a row! Photographically they can get a bit dull but there’s nothing quite like being on your own watching the world wake up with only the sound of crashing waves and the distant hum of fishing boats at sea.

NORTHSIDE

24.03.20

This year I’ve found myself shooting more things I see on a daily basis rather than seeking out what I ‘want’ to see. The end results do not necessary work nor do they earn a place in my portfolio but if I see something when I’m out, I shoot it rather than think about it. It’s also a challenge for me to see the areas around Guernsey a little differently.

This is from near the Vale Castle down towards the Bridge Clock Tower with the stunning evening hazy light.

BARBER JAR

22.03.20

Hair was getting out of control so Finley accepted his fate and let me streamline his hair. Not bad for a first attempt. It did have to be shortened over the duration of the cut due to inconsistencies in my grading!

INDUSTRIAL

19.03.20

Over half my life I’ve lived with a view of the power station. A monster of a structure and I named them Eartha & Bertha when I was younger!

Watching the fog lift pretty quickly as the the sun was rising this morning, for once the power station actually looked appealing to photograph. They do fire it up some mornings to keep her running, just in case someone drags a cable up from the sea bed!

LAMBING SEASON

18.03.20

It’s been a long time coming but this has got spring vibes all over it. My love for photography led me to them but watching the lambs jumping around in the sunshine just puts a smile on your face.
