With Easter just around the corner, it can only mean one thing! Still needs another week or two to reach it’s best.

Another day closer to being free again.

Forgotten patches of land in the Vale with only the boiler house and brick chimney remaining.
03.04.20
Ironically, hiding in a rat trap underneath a chicken feeder! Bear in mind this is a standard size pallet and the rat must have been at least the size of my foot! Whatever the chickens don’t eat goes in his belly.

I’ve always struggle to find a shot with this tower but today the light just seemed right. Temperature aside, it almost felt like a summer evening!

It grows literally anywhere it likes, I’ve even seen fern push through tarmac. I do love the smell of fern, takes me back to playing on the common when I was younger.

They may not have the friendliest faces but past that, turkey’s are quite impressive birds. Every time I see one I can’t help but think of Gobble from South Park. If you've never seen it, search for Gobbles and Timmy.

Needs no description really, but, these are Spanish Bluebells. For obvious reasons, part of the asparagus family.

Between both kids we’ve built 5 Lego sets, watched endless films and coloured plenty of cactus drawings for the window display. Don’’t know why put over the last month I’ve become a massive fan of cacti.
28.03.20
One of those days where I just couldn’t be bothered to get my camera out but so far 1914 days in, I think I’ll stop at 2000 days!
27.03.20
Five full suns in a row! Photographically they can get a bit dull but there’s nothing quite like being on your own watching the world wake up with only the sound of crashing waves and the distant hum of fishing boats at sea.
26.03.20
Chilling with mum after a hard day in the sunshine. Imagine being able to grow your own jumper!
25.03.20
The last week I’v noticed more and more bugs coming out to play. Plenty of fly’s but keep an eye out in the stinking nettles, lots of ladybirds soaking up the rays!

This year I’ve found myself shooting more things I see on a daily basis rather than seeking out what I ‘want’ to see. The end results do not necessary work nor do they earn a place in my portfolio but if I see something when I’m out, I shoot it rather than think about it. It’s also a challenge for me to see the areas around Guernsey a little differently.
This is from near the Vale Castle down towards the Bridge Clock Tower with the stunning evening hazy light.
23.03.20
New week, new challenges but with a week of sunshine it can only get better right?
22.03.20
Hair was getting out of control so Finley accepted his fate and let me streamline his hair. Not bad for a first attempt. It did have to be shortened over the duration of the cut due to inconsistencies in my grading!
21.03.20
A day filled with chores, one of which led me to a garden centre. Found a whole section of succulents for a quick no drama’s photo.

Corten steel door with a laminated timber hand shaped push plate on a new house in Fort George. Double exposure in Nik Collection Analog Efex Pro 2

Over half my life I’ve lived with a view of the power station. A monster of a structure and I named them Eartha & Bertha when I was younger!
Watching the fog lift pretty quickly as the the sun was rising this morning, for once the power station actually looked appealing to photograph. They do fire it up some mornings to keep her running, just in case someone drags a cable up from the sea bed!

It’s been a long time coming but this has got spring vibes all over it. My love for photography led me to them but watching the lambs jumping around in the sunshine just puts a smile on your face.
