A little side project I’ve been picking up over the last few weeks. Clank from the PS game Ratchet & Clank, 3D printed at work from an Fusion file I obtained. Base coat, metallic finish then details added after. Way more work cleaning it up than I though and the body still needs some work but for a first attempt it came out pretty much as I had planned. I would scale it up slightly next time.

Flat out day for the girls with an early birthday party for Alana who turns 11 on Wednesday. She’s got a great little group of friends and they all get on so well together. Watching her have fun is all I need in life.

Herm Island, the best place in the British Isles. FACT! Full on mood swing with the weather but handed itself to a dreamlike scene.

This is an alternative take on one of Guernsey’s cherished pastimes, ormering. Rubber glove against the blue sky, cooked in Snapseed.

Cooking oil mixed with water in a pyrex dish, coloured plastic plates and iPhone light underneath. First attempt at this, mixed results ;o)

Italian Arum growing in a pile of wood chips with a little backlight poking through the trees illuminating the thick white veins on the leaf. Although this is far from the ‘natural’ colours, I got pretty bored of editing it so went to town on the sliders. Still not quite happy, like a kid scribbling with a crayon, I raced though experimenting with colours and split toning and abruptly stopped when I hit some fiery oranges.

Low tide stroll along Bordeaux, looking for the more intricate details.

A day filled with chores, one of which led me to a garden centre. Found a whole section of succulents for a quick no drama’s photo.

Another amazing creation by Love Pebbles Gsy. This family of cacti have been hidden around Guernsey but their location needs to be kept secret. Head over to their Facebook page for some clues on where to find them.

Chilled afternoon with the kids at Iris & Dora, painting mermaids and cars. This place is great to just wander in if your bored and pass a few hours.

Taking inspiration from a master craftsman and his visions of our stunning coastline. I thought the fog added a different twist on the famous painting. If you get time, go check out the other locations dotted and mapped out around Moulin Huet.

Great family day out up Fairfield, doing our bit to support the community. Amazing homemade food, ice cream , plate smashing and of course the face painting.

Rainy Sunday creating some masterpieces. Love to see Alana has the patience for painting, very proud dad moment with this!

When nature and art come together.

Probably spend far too much time down here but I had to squeeze in a shot of these amazing hand painted pumpkins into the project. I have to admit I have attempted to recreate the faces at home for the kids.
