The many sides of Les Amarreurs Bay. Early spring, with a hint of summer. Felt good!

Stopped off at a farm near my work on the way home this evening (with permission). All the 40 odd cows were desperate for attention but only one got an attempt at a head scratch.

With such big tides and a relatively flat seabed, I was forced away from my initial set up pretty quickly. The good thing was it forced me to not shoot the same old thing. That said, I will be back when all the boats are back in the water.

It started off clear and a bit dull but once the rain had passed the sky really lifted the atmosphere.

Always been drawn to flaky boat hull. Love the different colour layers and textures.

The remains of the Japanese house that once stood here. The house was dismantled in Japan and shipped to Guernsey on a steamboat in the late 1800’s.

Convinced myself that the roots of this tree looked like a giant pointy hand reaching out from the earth. Maybe I’ve just watched too many Sci-Fi films.

Mooching around the park hoping to spot some ducklings, instead I had a stalker sneaking around me.
08.03.20
Out for lunch with the family, making the most of the kids dressed it their Sunday best. Can’t believe she’ll be ten this year!
07.03.20
Testing out some new styles for a wedding in the summer. The shades finished it off nicely!

Quick trip to Port Soif on the way home and mad dash to keep dry!

Just observing how people approach these situations it actually creates a very effecting traffic calming solution. There are of course a few bell ends who think its clever to power through it and lose a bumper in the process.

With 21 petrol stations on an island of only 78 km² you don’t really have an excuse for running out of petrol. That said when I first started driving 17 years ago, this was the place you knew would always be open late at night for those much needed munch runs.
03.03.20
The signs of a long and hopefully warm spring starting to show!
02.03.20
You have to just admire how spectacular rainbows can be. Love watching the curtains of rain falling to the ground. Unofficial stats claim February 2020 was the wettest ever recorded and it still continues!
01.03.20
Saumarez Park gained itself an extra pond over the last few months. Spoiled for choice if you’re a duck!
29.02.20
Took the kids to watch the reservoir rally this morning. Great event for the Guernsey sporting calendar but could have done without the gale force icy winds. Rarely use the 5D’s AI Servo for tracking but it did a phenomenal job.
28.02.20
The sleepy National Trust land at the bottom of Quanteraine Valley, slowly waking up for spring.

Makes you wander how many German soldiers stood in this same spot and just stepped off guard for a moment to admire the views. I’m already visualizing a hot summer evening with some proper fat sausages on the bbq! Summer…coming soon.
