POWER STATION

25.01.22

Another struggle to find anything inspiring. Something of a landmark in the north, albeit an eyesore, the power station has been a vital part of the islands infrastructure for many years and will do for many more.

ST MARTINS CHURCH

24.01.22

Turned out to be an stunning day once the clouds had buggered off. Feeling the warm sun only face felt good. Inspiration wise, January is a shitter to get through so anything goes and sometimes you’ve just got to accept that better things will come (hopefully).

SLEEPOVER

21.01.22

Finley having his first sleepover with his school friend Teddy. They were determined to stay up till 10pm which I though was reasonable but it ended calmly and I havn’t heard a peep out of them.

SUNSET RIDER

16.01.22

Stunning winter evening, out for a stroll with the gang. The kids had their pushangs to make life easier on their little legs. Finley had a new bike for Christmas and we managed to get a helmet to match the forks.

WAY OUT WEST

13.01.22

I found this view point last year by accident on one of my many tours of the parishes. There’s a bench to the side of the road where you can sit and take in the views.

OVER THE HEDGE

12.01.22

We walked past these goats munching on the gorse over the weekend. I went back today to find the same one still munching his way up the road. I just can't understand how eating gorse can be appealing?

MOULIN HUET

09.01.22

Rain, rain and more rain. There’s a theme occuring this year! When there’s breaks in the cloud, I love the rain because that’s when the magic can happen. When it’s solid grey grey, that sucks.

There wasn't as much strong winter sun as I’d hoped although the shadows and highlights are much easier to control when it’s like this. I did nearly get cut off, five more minutes and I would of had to deal with some sketchy submerged rocks!

GUERNSEY MOODS

07.01.22

Standing my ground, I refuse to let the rain get in the way. This was just after sunrise this morning, armed with an umbrella and a cleaning cloth the rain hammered down over me. Everything just went in reverse and seemed to plunge into darkness.

LES HOUARDS

06.01.22

Les Houards farm, situated in the rural lanes of the Forest. I’m not sure what the wind mill was used for but I can only assume it was some sort of early wind turbine for powering the farm.
