Rural

SHEEPS

05.01.22

It may be a little on the cold side but being out in the sunshine, strolling through the rural lanes felt amazing. It may not mean much to anyone but this picture felt like a turning point. It made me remember why I started this photo marathon which was to capture Guernsey through the seasons in any way possible. No rules, no competition, just enjoying being out with the camera!

DONKEYS!

12.02.19

Checking out the fine asses enjoying the sunshine in the rural lanes of St Martin. Some days it’s nice to just get back to my roots and wander around aimlessly to see whats lies around the next corner.

GOATS

25.01.19

If you think about it, Guernsey is just like one big giant farmyard. Most of the animals are visible from the road and don’t cost anything to see but the challenge is actually finding them.

TYREMAN

21.12.18

Following on from yesterday’s theme, it seems there’s some stiff competition between the farmers again this year. The turkey still gets my vote but this is a great us of materials! If you spot any more around the island, give me a shout.

GOBBLES

20.12.18

Having watched way too much South Park growing up, I can’t help myself from thinking about Timmy and his pet turkey Gobbles whenever I see a turkey. I even make gobble sounds in my head.

Great effort whoever set up this massive hay bail turkey thought.
