Made myself a new friend in the form of a dog. His owner was calling from a long way off and he just followed me for ages until I turned back and reunited him.

Nothing beats a classic school sports day. Both kids put in everything into their races and Finley managed to laugh for most of his race but that’s what it’s all about, fun!

Last of the kitten spam for a while but how can you resist the urge to grab a photo of this! He’s such a fun, happy little kitten who’s definitely made himself at home. Certainly added some entertainment into our lives. They don’t stay small for long so you can image how many photo’s I’ve got already.

After the excitement of this mornings unseasonal gale force winds it was nice to feel a little bit of warmth and ditch the winter gear. I did notice there were three conger eels drying out in the back of the boat. Is this a Guernsey thing i’ve missed?

Found around 50 of these Gatekeepers on the edge of a field up at Pleinmont. Never seen so many in one place. There’s a few butterflies on my list to find this summer, the main one that I’ve only found once is the Green Hairstreak. I found one a few years ago on some gorse at Petit Bot but didn’t get a chance to get a shot.

Spend way too much time relaxing today and the motivation was well gone by the time I went out. The rain was lingering overhead and all I wanted to do was just veg on the sofa.

Officially introducing the newest member of the Le Tissier household. We’re still undecided about his name but for now he’s called Chewie.

A typical summers day as the weather warms up. This shot reminds me of one of the lochs we drove past in Scotland, an eerie but calm and gentle feel to it.

A little continental influence in the heart of St Peter Port. Town looks great in summer, if you ignore all the scaffolding and empty shops!

No.3 on my list of favourite south coast beaches. When you finally make it to the viewpoint, it’s kind of a standard Guernsey thing to just stop and have a good look at the beauty of it then head down and find a spot.

I can’t unsee a really happy and over excited flower that’s just had its tummy tickled or a flower version of Pikachu but it’s a Bee orchid. Designed by nature to mimic a bee so that they would attempt to mate with it and spread their pollen.

Saints Bay is undoubtably one of the finest bays on the south coast (second to Petit Port in my eyes). With higher tides, the pier makes a great place to chill and, if you fancy it, jump off the pier for a swim.

The most south easterly point of the island, St Martins Point. A few hundred steps down to an amazing place, watching the fishing boats chugging past and the mesmerising currents flowing through.

Set myself a colour theme today to make things a bit easier. There’s green everywhere you look but delve deeper into the green grass and you’ll see more than first meets the eye.
When these crickets are fully grown their wings grow the entire length of their body and I’ve seem them take off and fly pretty far!

A trek I’ve become very familiar with over the year, one that gets easier every time you walk it. The rewards on a calm summer morning are more than worth it. Probably spent just over an hour sat down here, occasionally checking the camera.

Th vibrant lavender was like a magnet for the bees once the rain had cleared. We all know by now how important bees are but if you haven’t watched Black Mirror yet, check out the Series 3 episode 6 - Hated in the Nation.

More like the Winter Solstice!!! Same temp in places across the UK as it was 6 months ago in the winter. It’s a milestone in the year for me because it marks (almost) the middle of the year. The plans I had were out the window pretty early this morning so I had to mooch around town the evening to salvage a shot.

Amazing day with my nearest and dearest, kicked off with breakfast at the Beach House followed by a lovely roast cooked by Danni, who actually took this picture off us. I don’t often get in front of the lens but there are exceptions.
