There’s definately a summery feel in the air and the coast is looking stunning. Give it a another month and we’ll all be heading out for beach days.

Whilst the middle of the woods is still looking bit thin, the edges seem to be taking a little quicker. Really disappointing to see so many trampled patches and new paths made though the middle. Seems like there’s still a selfish few who ruin it for everyone else.

A stunning morning on L’Ancresse Common. The Conservation Herd dominating large chunk of land but I can’t think of a more uniquely Guernsey scene than this.

Alana had Grace round for a sleepover last night. Took them out for wander round town and to a place the kids love, Shake It 2 in the Arcade. I have to say they do some pretty good thick shakes!

As much as I try to avoid heading here too much, sometimes I just can’t resist the temptation!

Out and about exploring the lanes around St Pierre du Bois, I spotted about 15 lambs happily jumping and running in a field along Route du Coudre.

80 metres up, the crystal clear waters of Petit Port looking stunning in the sunshine.

Through the pine trees looking out to Cobo. Another stunning day on the rock, although I still had to wear a few layers.

Getting up before sunrise is now part of my daily routine, rain or shine, winter or summer. I find that watching the day unfold really helps get me motivated and productive. Some people run, some meditate. I earth watch.

Herm Island, the best place in the British Isles. FACT! Full on mood swing with the weather but handed itself to a dreamlike scene.

Trying to keep this one out of brumation is proving more difficult than I though. They can lie dormant for long periods over the winter, sometimes a few months but the general advice seems to be to avoid letting them do it in optimal controlled conditions. She still comes out most days for a run around to keep her active and healthy.

More and more ducklings appearing across the island which is always a pleasure to see. There were a few in Saumarez Park but I fear the gulls have had a few over the last few days.

An area I often overlook with the camera, manly because the old landfill site is a few hundred metres away but it’s still an area that I love to walk and on a day like today, it felt quit special. The Thrift helped with a more natural frame.

Taking in the fantastic views the island has to offer. The air was so clear you could see distant details of the French coast. Setting a long exposure with no clouds is always hit and miss so I had to carefully balance the light and dark areas.

Snow in the morning, roasting on the cliffs by afternoon. I did start off with full winter gear but when you get going on the cliffs, the body pumps out some serious heat. The colour of the sea was amazing under the blue skies but the reality on the arctic wind made it short lived later on.

Cold but beautiful end to the Easter weekend.

Keeping up with tradition for the last 6 years, our annual Easter Le Tissier family photo. Found a location a few weeks back up by Le Trepied dolmen. Glad to see the diffs held out too.

Before the luscious green comes the miles and miles of stunning Blackthorn flowers. If you haven’t been for a wonder around the cliffs recently, now really is the time to do it. It’s amazing to see so much white blossom.

One of the most densely populated areas in town, probably looking very similar to what it did 100 years ago.

Somebody was having fun out on the water this morning, made me a bit jealous. It was so calm I could hear most of the conversations from half way down Bluebell Wood.
