WASP SPIDER

27.08.19

Not for the squeamish, big enough to make your hairs stand on end. This is a female, the males are the smaller pale brown ones. They can grow up to an inch in size, that’s the end of your thumb!

SHELL BEACH

25.08.19

Herm Part II

I love Shell Beach, always have and always will but this is the first time I’ve been here at sunrise and I can honestly say, it was stunning and probably the best Herm experience I’ve ever had! Paradise was found. No people, just me and nearly a mile of pure unspoiled beach to explore.

LONG EARED OWL

20.08.19

It’s not every day an opportunity slaps you in the face, but today was one of those days. Driving along the coast I caught sight of this owl swooping down and then perched on this branch.

The down side, the adrenaline to get the shot was so intense, even image stabilization struggled with the camera shake!

BLUEBELL WOODS IV

17.08.19

Part 4 of Bluebell Woods through the seasons. Nothing much really happens here in the Summer. The canopy is so dense hardly any light gets through. As the air heated the moisure started to evaporate, intensifying the short burst of light through the trees. I had to wait an hour for the sun to come out this morning!
