Ever get that feeling your being watched? Never underestimate a cat…I’ve said it before, they would take you down if they were bigger!

So proud of my little monkey’s. Finley brought home a gold medal in his first ever gala and Alana swept up two silvers in the girls 9 years. Treated them with a trip to the cinema to watch Toy Story 4 (which is amazing by the way)

Brilliant afternoon at The Accidental Zoo. All the animals you love and the smaller ones you might not be so keen on…Tarantulas!

With Mediterranean temperatures, there is only one place to really immerse yourself in a Guernsey summer. The south coast! Half way between Le Jaonet and Petit Bot with amazing views down below. The colour of that sea was very inviting.

Easy pickings in Candie Gardens with this Heron being an almost permanent resident. Needed a more challenging shot, making use of the backlit leaves in the evening sun.

Kept a close eye on the cloud cover last night and took a gamble and left home at 04:30. Didn’t get far but watched another impressive sunrise.

You literally couldn’t make this stuff up. Three days of epic sunsets, I literally had my head fixated on the clouds this evening. The only thing missing was Danni and the kids watching it with me.

If you didn’t manage to take a peek out the window tonight, this is how it ended! Massive rainbow to the east and I’ve never seen the colours so intense in bow. So much to take in when your constantly searching for the next image.

Another one of those days where everything was starting to look a bit dull but persistence paid off again. What a sight!

This was all a bit rushed this morning but what a beautiful place to start off the weekend!

Guernsey’s equivalent to Big Ben, but on a much smaller scale!

Abstract details from the Bathing Pools.

Needed a bit of colour in my day so headed to St Saviours church to see what I could come up with. This is the church within the church!

Next time I’ll be back for a large with a flake and strawberry sauce! Maybe the summer might show up as well?
17.06.19
I nearly gave up on this but decided to stick around for a little bit longer and see what I could get out of it. Sure enough the skies started to catch a little bit of colour. Maybe this is the real summer!

Happy Fathers Day to our wonderful and talented dad. Never a more perfect time to get mum and dad together for a photo.
15.06.19
White pheasant hunting in the rain! Didn’t really have to search for long but found her sitting in a green waste pile. Managed to get about 2-3 metres away and she didn’t really care I was there.

HDR scenic golden Guernsey evening views over the west coast from Grandes Rocques Fort.

It’s not until you do some research do you realise how much history Guernsey actually has. During the middle ages, around 1100-1200, St Peter Port used to be a small settlement built on steep cliffs. Half way down these steps there’s a passageway which marked the eastern boundary of the medieval town which lead down to a beach. I would love to go back (fully vaccinated) to see what it was like.
Have a read here, its actually quite interesting!

The ultimate summer evening meal, served metres from one of the islands finest beaches.
