Not a moth I’d expect to very often but I’ve just read these can grow a wingspan up to 45cm which is pretty big!

The motivation just wasn’t there again today. Macro is great to fall back on, if you can find the subject. Butterflies are out in abundance at the moment but no doubt they won’t be around for much longer.

Went back to the patch I visited a few days ago. The bad news, half has been mowed, the good news, they sensitively left half to let nature do it’s thing.
Towards the end of the day, you can notice the butterflies hide near the ground making it extremely difficult to get a clear shot through the grasses. This is the best I could get.

White pheasant hunting in the rain! Didn’t really have to search for long but found her sitting in a green waste pile. Managed to get about 2-3 metres away and she didn’t really care I was there.
