This time, the lights were actually working in this area but just around the corner they were still out.

Really struggling to find inspiration the last few days. Decided to walk down to Fermain too seek said inspiration, only to find it wasn’t own there. The technical term is ‘creative block’! I’m sure it will pass, it always does.

It wasn’t until I uploaded these files I realised that the lights from the front the church grounds were casting a shadow into the sky. Feels a bit like Arkham City!

A lone house nestled deep in the valley of Petit Bot. If we ever get a snow day again, this is where I’m heading first. This would look awesome with snow dusted trees and the road should be more visible. Watch this space!

One of Guernsey’s oldest structures, Le Dehus burial chamber is a passage grave with finds dating back as far as 3,500-20,000BC!

Head in the sky at 06:30, there was a strong hint that the sky was going to burst into life. Some days it’s worth travelling the extra few miles to really experience these moments.
Every time I come down here there seems to be less and less pine trees. Either fallen in the wind or cut down at the need of their life. I’ve got a feeling the remaining pine’s won’t be around for too much longer.

Market Square looking very festive. I had planned to take a few snaps up Mill Street but half the lights weren’t even turned on.

Today was an absolute write off. Had a nice low tide walk at lunch but I needed a quick ‘grab shot’ on the way home. The sound of the two pubs made it feel quite festive.

Believe it or not, there is some scientific understanding to the rhyme, “Red sky in the morning, shepherds warning”!
A quote from he Met Office - "Red sky in the morning, shepherds warning" means a red sky appears due to the high-pressure weather system having already moved east meaning the good weather has passed, most likely making way for a wet and windy low-pressure system.”

Not only is it great exercise getting down here, this time of year offers some fantastic winter light to play with. Although the tides were racing up on the flat beach, the cave offers a perfect window to mould a shot.

Both kittens have had the snip and at six months old, the time has come to release the beasts into the wild! I’ve got money on Chewie bringing home the first bird. For now, they just sit at the back door watching the rain and kicking off when a leaf flies past the window.

As the shortest day draws ever closer, there’s still an autumn feel in the air. The last few leaves are hanging on but but its starting to thin out. See you in the spring leaves!

Technically, the ‘Golden Hour’ and normally the hour after sunrise but this morning offered so many options beforehand and the sky just kept on getting better. I was in my element, a fun ‘happy’ hour with the camera!

Another stormy day, another rainbow hunt complete. The combo of sun, cloud and rain was perfect, it was just a case of waiting it out which luckily came sooner than I expected.

Last day of November, finishing off with a classic Guernsey scene and a stunning rainbow. I sat through three downpours to get this shot but my persistence paid off. Luckily I found a rock to shelter behind and the rain was driving in from the west so the lens stayed relatively rain free. There was also a lot of careful planning in my mind as to where to be, along with the help of some basic sun calculation apps and rain radars.
