WAY OUT WEST

13.01.22

I found this view point last year by accident on one of my many tours of the parishes. There’s a bench to the side of the road where you can sit and take in the views.

OVER THE HEDGE

12.01.22

We walked past these goats munching on the gorse over the weekend. I went back today to find the same one still munching his way up the road. I just can't understand how eating gorse can be appealing?

MOULIN HUET

09.01.22

Rain, rain and more rain. There’s a theme occuring this year! When there’s breaks in the cloud, I love the rain because that’s when the magic can happen. When it’s solid grey grey, that sucks.

There wasn't as much strong winter sun as I’d hoped although the shadows and highlights are much easier to control when it’s like this. I did nearly get cut off, five more minutes and I would of had to deal with some sketchy submerged rocks!

GUERNSEY MOODS

07.01.22

Standing my ground, I refuse to let the rain get in the way. This was just after sunrise this morning, armed with an umbrella and a cleaning cloth the rain hammered down over me. Everything just went in reverse and seemed to plunge into darkness.

LES HOUARDS

06.01.22

Les Houards farm, situated in the rural lanes of the Forest. I’m not sure what the wind mill was used for but I can only assume it was some sort of early wind turbine for powering the farm.

SHEEPS

05.01.22

It may be a little on the cold side but being out in the sunshine, strolling through the rural lanes felt amazing. It may not mean much to anyone but this picture felt like a turning point. It made me remember why I started this photo marathon which was to capture Guernsey through the seasons in any way possible. No rules, no competition, just enjoying being out with the camera!

TWILIGHT

04.01.22

I usually really enjoy the winter but this year I’m just counting down the days till the summer arrives! It would be nice if they scrapped all the bullshit travel restrictions and just let the visiting yachts fill the harbour once again.

GAMING DAY

03.12.21

Last day of my holidays and the weather ruined most outdoor plans so browsing the PS Store was the only option for me. I lost interest in the console wars a few years ago but the PS5 has reignited my love for gaming.

Currently running Ratchet & Clank in Performance RT mode and it looks stunning!

THREE SIX FIVE

31.12.21

Another year has passed and I’ve seen some magical things on my travels. This island has so much to offer and I feel like I’ve seen everything I wanted to. Keeping up with tradition for the seventh year here’s our annual NYE family photo.

Happy New Year everyone!

RETAIL THERAPY

30.12.21

Alana and her friend Chloe are at that stage when they head off on their own, eat out and spend their savings. Not a single worry, just enjoying each other company and enjoying their childhood.

FEED ME

29.12.21

This one never ventures far from the house unlike Inky who we hardly see since they were let outside. I don't speak cat but they their best when the foods run out.
