Seeing this guy fishing at sunrise made me really want to take it up another pass-time. But, for now I will stay behind the camera and prepare for hopefully a dramatic autumn and winter!

Took Finley to Petit Port for the first time in his 8 years on earth and he loved it! We paddled round from Moulin Huet and took some time to soak up the rays before heading back. Must have been about 20 yachts moored up between the two bays, some stunners from France rocked up as well.

Our saviour in the summer, the place where you can silence a child with tears of joy and a place where you can experiment with Fanta and chocolate ice cream???
The humble beach kiosk!

The most common garden bird in the UK, but this one was playing around with it’s mates next to the beach. Just managed to sneak close enough to get a shot through a gap.

Classic Guernsey Dip ‘n’ Dine with my favourite humans. Left it late and only managed to squeeze in Les Douvres but the food way great and the pool was warm. Getting used to days like these.

I found it really hard to find a boat with any foreground interest until I was about to leave, the sun came out and the clouds properly lit up. Love the little mounds of sand.

Half the island’s coastline was swamped in fog for most of the day. I had some ideas but none of them turned out as I planned. This field caught my eye on the drive back from Jerbourg. Might try it again at sunrise in the hope of a nice thin layer of mist on the grass?

I’ve got some pretty high expectations for the weather over the next few weeks as I’m on holiday with the kids. This wasn’t a bad start!

Alana loves both our cats but she’s got a soft spot for Chewie who always goes to her first and sneaks into her bedroom when we’re not looking. He also accepts that she will cuddle him like a baby!

Once upon a time, I assumed there were honey bees and bumble bee bees. Then you realise that there’s actually over 250 different species of bees! That’s a a lot of bees.

Always a pleasure to wander around the Pleinmont headland towards the end of the day. This was a small trek down the cliffs to a spot I found a few years back. Works better in the winter when the sun is further south so I will be back for another shot in Q4!

An ornimetal corten steel garden disc of some sort. I couldn’t figure out it’s use but it was in the car park at Guernsey Gardens.
