76 years of freedom on the rock, finished off with a bang! Viewed from the top of Arcade Steps, the best vantage point of St Peter Port in my option.
My method, use bulb mode with a remote cable. Adjust the exposure to suit 2-3 seconds. Any longer and the fireworks just turn into a blur.

While Danni was shopping, we played hide and seek in the sunken gardens. I saw his feet hiding behind the artwork and just waited till he popped his head round to check I was searching.

One of the baby rabbits that lives in the the garden at work. I spotted it in front of my car but had to get into my car first to grab the camera, then stealthily get into position. Took three shots and then he ran off.

May the fourth be with you! We may not be battling the Infiltrator in a faraway galaxy but there was once, 76 years ago, a very real battle going on which left a permanent mark on the island.

Finley loved wrapping the python around his shoulders. Alana was keen to begin with but couldn’t bring herself to hold it. The first time I’ve ever held as snake as well!

A place I’ve been meaning to head back to for some time now, the cool calm morning seem like to perfect moment to do it. When I walked down the steps I had an instant ‘wow’ moment. A little corner of Guernsey that often gets overlooked from the path, it’s definitely a place to relax your mind and take in the beauty of our coast.

Blissful, calm morning at Rousse. The low tide was pushing me back really quickly but I stood my ground until the tide was nearing the top of me boots. It’s so flat here you can quickly find yourself 3quite far out to sea without realising it.

One last trip to Bluebell Woods before they wilt away for another year. Seems like the wild garlic has taken over a huge area again, hopefully the bluebells can hang on to their rightful home.

After weeks of stunning calm days, the gales nearly put me off heading out this evening. But, I always have one eye up in sky just in case there’s some cloud worth freezing my arse off for.

So proud of Alana, and the entire SMSM Tag Rugby teams. They smashed the tournament and although they didn’t win, they made the playoffs and made all of us smile with their efforts. Well done each and every one of you. For the parents, I managed to get plenty of photos of everyone. I will give them to school next week and they will be distributed from there.
Also for the record, I have photographic evidence of slide tackles from the opposition…not cool.

Many moons ago, this is where Guernsey was split into two separate islands. There’s still long stretches of the old sea wall visible heading inland along Vale Church and into the lanes. Ye Olde Guernsey, would have loved to go back few hundred years to see what it was like.

The sun just keeps on shining at the moment. Whilst I love being out on days like this, it’s extremely limiting for dramatic scenic images. The good thing is it challenges you to explore new angles at the same time experimenting with the strong, intense light.
