Never underestimate a dull looking morning, especially in winter! The sun hovers low above the horizon for much longer giving more time to catch the golden glow.

There was no alcohol in sight today but you can always guarantee Ron will bring the laughs to the party.
He always forgets their names so the the kids call him Susan as little light hearted joke.

Happy Christmas from me, Danni and our little monsters. The excitement has well and truly kicked in and we’ve tracked Santa at least twice an hour since this morning!

The final push into the last 8 days, taking the toll up to 2556 consecutive days. It’s harder than ever when the end is in sight, the drive seems to fade away.

A colourful end to a freezing day. Not quite as spectacular as this mornings sunrise but still great to see.

First day of the Crimbo holidays. Nice early start on the ice rink. Alana stayed in bed and Finley loved it until near the end when the blade of my skate went over his hand. Brave lad held it together well and we later discussed how bad it could have gone if he’d lost a finger! Seemed to work, putting in into perspective.

Our annual gngerbread afternoon with the kids. We had all shapes and sizes along with Finley’s Roblox man, complete with a generous third leg!

Icy breeze up here this morning and the clear sky proved difficult to work with and this is one of the last shots I took before heading home.

The top of Valnord Road has a great view across the rooftops rising up Victoria Road. The early winter sun had just risen really emphasising the red brick and terracotta chimneys.

This time, the lights were actually working in this area but just around the corner they were still out.

Really struggling to find inspiration the last few days. Decided to walk down to Fermain too seek said inspiration, only to find it wasn’t own there. The technical term is ‘creative block’! I’m sure it will pass, it always does.

It wasn’t until I uploaded these files I realised that the lights from the front the church grounds were casting a shadow into the sky. Feels a bit like Arkham City!

A lone house nestled deep in the valley of Petit Bot. If we ever get a snow day again, this is where I’m heading first. This would look awesome with snow dusted trees and the road should be more visible. Watch this space!

Head in the sky at 06:30, there was a strong hint that the sky was going to burst into life. Some days it’s worth travelling the extra few miles to really experience these moments.
Every time I come down here there seems to be less and less pine trees. Either fallen in the wind or cut down at the need of their life. I’ve got a feeling the remaining pine’s won’t be around for too much longer.

Market Square looking very festive. I had planned to take a few snaps up Mill Street but half the lights weren’t even turned on.

Today was an absolute write off. Had a nice low tide walk at lunch but I needed a quick ‘grab shot’ on the way home. The sound of the two pubs made it feel quite festive.
