I always venture up to this spot round this time of year but try to time it as close to low tide as possible to really emphasise the crystal clear waters and the extent of the sandy beach at Petit Bot.

Lots of bunting and flags starting to pop up ready for the Liberation Day celebrations next week!

Shell Beach, by far one of favourite places close to home. A little piece of paradise that I will always treasure.
Late afternoon at the end of the long weekend, it was almost deserted.

Returning to an old favourite, the Bathing Pools. I didn’t check the tides like I normally do and the clouds didn’t really inspire but a long exposure rescued the trip!

Its taken 37 years but today I finally stepped foot in La Seigneurie and it didn’t disappoint. The whole site is stunning and the maze was great fun with the kids!

Had to drop some bits off to the cargo holding area this afternoon. Had to grab a snap of the crane on the way out.

Another trip down to Bluebell Woods. I think I’ve seen enough for this year.

Wandering through the quiet lanes of St Saviour. This house has always caught my attention and feels like a classic ‘Guernsey House’.

I was told about some lambs up by the reservoir so I went to check them out. The lamb’s got a little E.T. look to it.

The Saumarez Park clan out in force again. I think I counted about 15 ducklings in total.

Our little man made us so proud with the effort he’s put into bowls this year. So much so that he earnt himself the Sustained Effort Award and his first trophy.

The time felt right to grab an ‘evening’ Bluebell Woods shot before they wilt away for another year.
Get down and check them out this weekend if you haven’t already.

I tried so hard not to drag the kids down this year but in the end I couldn’t resist and they agreed after I let them take some silly selfies with my phone.

It felt like I was watching illegal pheasant fight so I chucked a tenner on the floor and sat back to see what happened. It lasted a few round then they started pestering me for food!

Kid free afternoon walking around the Jerbourg headland. This is one of my favourite spots, looking down to Petit Port, Moulin Huet and Saints harbour. I was going to go down but after a recent landslide it’s closed off again.

A phrase I’m hearing more and more from Alana these days but I guess I just need to accept it and start using it myself. Yaaas! Ha.

Leaving our second home in Herm after a great weekend with the gang. Definitely been missing out on the seasonal pitches for way too long. Cheers for the ride home Mike!
