HERM AGAIN

09.04.22

Back in Herm to finish setting up the pitch. Mammoth mission getting everything across but the second home is almost complete.

Back tomorrow for round three!

SCOOT

02.04.22

Taking Alana’s friend Chole’s e-scooter for a test spin up the park this evening. I think I may have to invest in one for ‘the kids’!

DARK SKY

31.03.22

From glorious sunshine for a whole week to a complete u-turn of icy cold arctic winds and wintry showers. This was a few minutes before the hail hit and it was painful. I’d forgotten how much it hurts being shot in the face with thousands of hail stones!

I also found loads of newborn lambs today so I’ll head back and grab some shots tomorrow.

HAZY DAYS

26.03.22

Five days in a row and not a cloud in sight. I’ve shot these rooftops quite a lot over the years but never with the evening sun. The hazy atmosphere and smoke from the chimney added little extra for me.

THE EDGE OF SPRING

24.03.22

Now our office is based in the north of the island, I rarely get a change to venture to the south coast but today was so nice it just had to be done, even it was only for ten minutes!

Season - somewhere towards the edge of spring with a very feint hint of summer.

FEATHERS

23.03.22

Wandered past some chickens earlier. What looked like a purple black one completely changed colour when it wandered into the evening sun. I’ve pulled up the colours but the term ‘never judge a book by it’s cover’ springs to mind.

TANK N

22.03.22

We may be ‘greener’ than we used to be but th reliance on fossil fuels can’t be hidden. The sun was reflecting off the cladding bouncing between the tanks but by the time I’d found an angle the glow had faded.

PEACOCK

21.03.22

The first of many, a Peacock butterfly sunning itself up on a tree stump. Didn't expect to see many butterflies at this early in the year and it looks like it taken the winter pretty well!
