Another butterfly to check off this list this year but I’m not very happy with this shot. Only took a few and they were all out focus. This was the sharpest of the bunch.

The motivation just wasn’t there again today. Macro is great to fall back on, if you can find the subject. Butterflies are out in abundance at the moment but no doubt they won’t be around for much longer.

Spoiled for choice and species in the fields with the warmth of the summer sun. This is one of the smallest butterflies in the UK and getting a close macro shot in the wind is tricky but out of 100 shots, 5% were in focus!
