Went for a sunrise walk down to St Martins Point, as you do, only to be attacked by a mob of seagulls. Once they’d chilled out, I soon found out why they were being so aggressive.

Found this Thrush chick struggling to fly, trying to get back up onto the earth bank where there were clearly a few more in a nearby nest. After seeing a car nearly squash it I decided to grab it and place it up on higher ground. Felt like Ace Ventura.

Tried photographing these coots a few times last week but just couldn’t get close enough. Today however they happily came within touching distance.

It seemed a little odd to see a chicken sat randomly doing nothing in a field. A closer inspection revealed a smaller surprise! Then out popped three chicks.
